The El Paso Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday. The accident happened at the 9400 Montwood and Catnip intersection. The collision involved only one vehicle.
According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, Dante Gaddiel Luna, 18 was driving west in the left lane on Montwood. But as he navigated a curve, he lost control of the vehicle and it veered to the right.
Then Luna hit a number of wooden barriers, flipping over in the process. Luna, the car’s only occupant and driver, was declared dead at the scene after incurring fatal injuries.
He was unfortunate enough to not be buckled up at the time of the collision and was thrown from the car. Speed, according to the investigators, may have contributed to the fatal crash.
