According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Pittsburg on Tuesday. The crash happened in the area of Stoneman Avenue and Briarcliff Dr. at around 7:15 p.m.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a 17-year-old girl were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the unknown vehicle struck the teenager while she was crossing the road.
According to the reports, the teenager suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pittsburg Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
