A teen suffered serious injuries following a rollover crash in Spokane.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place on State Route 291. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 17-year-old driver was heading northbound at a high rate of speed when he tried to pass a school bus and failed to maintain control of the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into the southbound shoulder and embankment, flipped and ended up on its top.
The car, a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, was wrecked as a result of the accident. Drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash. According to the officials, the cause of the collision was reckless driving. Charges are under review at this time. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
