A teenage girl was airlifted to the hospital after being involved in a motor vehicle accident with a pickup truck on Tuesday.
The deputies stated that the crash happened on 8 Mile Road near B Drive S. in Newton Township, at around 3 pm.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the teenage girl was headed east on B Drive S, when she collided with a pickup truck, driven by a 36-year-old man, traveling south on 8 Mile Road.
The girl was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The man sustained minor injuries.
The investigation of the crash is underway by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team.
