16-Year-Old Philip Michael Conner Killed In A Two-Vehicle Crash In Lake Charles (Lake Charles, LA)

Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 21, 2022, around 11 p.m. The crash happened near the intersection of Highway 397 and Gauthier Road. 

A preliminary crash report suggests that 16-year-old Philip Michael Conner was driving east on Gauthier Road in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma when he failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a 2011 GMC Acadia traveling south on the highway. 

After the collision, both vehicles traveled off the roadway, and Conner’s vehicle caught fire. 

Conner sustained fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene. 

The GMC driver was taken to the local hospital for moderate injuries. 

No further details regarding the crash are currently available. 

The crash is being investigated.
