16-Year-Old Killed In A Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Sonora (Sonora, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Sonora.

Officials confirmed that a 16-year-old died due to the motorcycle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred south of Chicken Ranch Road.

A 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle driver attempted to pass a truck by overtaking on the right side.

However he lost control when he drove onto the dirt shoulder and was then ejected from the bike.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and later succumbed to them.

Further details including the name of the deceased motorcyclist remain unknown.

It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.

The crash remains under the purview of the CHP.
