On Sunday, 15-year-old Autumn Craytor, 20-year-old Jordan Verdugo and 16-year-old Ivy Spangle were killed while a 21-year-old woman suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Tehama County.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at around 1:45 a.m. on Interstate 5. The preliminary investigation indicated that Ivy Spangle was driving a southbound Kia on the freeway when her car entered the west shoulder and crashed into a semi-truck that was parked in the shoulder.
Autumn Craytor, Ivy Spangle and Jordan Verdugo succumbed to their injuries after the accident. On arrival, emergency crews transported a 21-year-old woman who was also riding in the same vehicle to the hospital with major injuries. No other details are made available.
The crash remains under review.
