13-year-old Dylan Buensuceso killed after a hit-and-run crash in Goodyear; driver sought (Goodyear, AZ)

Officials identified 13-year-old Dylan Buensuceso as the teenager who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Goodyear while the driver fled the scene after collision.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place in a neighborhood near Elliot Road and Cotton Lane moments before 3 p.m. The early reports showed that Dylan Buensuceso was riding his bicycle after school when a vehicle struck him for undetermined reasons.

The driver of the involved vehicle drove away from the scene after the crash. In an update at about 8:30 p.m., officials confirmed that the boy succumbed to his injuries multiple hours after the accident. Police are seeking for a white Ford pickup truck with damage to the right front headlight.

The hit-and-run driver is described as a Hispanic man who was wearing a long-sleeve orange shirt, officials reported. According to the authorities, there might have been passengers in the truck. Buensuceso was an eighth-grade student at Estrella Mountain Elementary School. No other information has been provided.

The incident remains under active review.
