According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Yuba City on Wednesday.
The crash happened on Highway 20 at Humphrey Road at around 8:30 p.m.
The officials stated that a maroon 2008 Honda Pilot and a red 2018 Jeep Compass were involved in the collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Honda crossed Highway 20, failed to yield the right of way, and was struck by the Jeep.
The driver of the Honda was identified as 31-year-old Mariah Lindsey Lopez traveling north with five children.
The driver of the Jeep Compass was identified as 34-year-old Jonathan Reyes traveling west with 3 adults and an infant. Six ambulances and a medical helicopter were at the scene to take the injured to the hospital.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the Deputies.
