The Mesa Fire and Medical Department reported a five-vehicle collision on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred near US-60 and Gilbert Road.
The officials reported that the collision involved five vehicles. Some of the cars had reportedly caught fire after the crash.
Ten people were saved from the crash and taken to the hospital, some of them with critical injuries.
The identities of those injured and their present conditions have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated. There has been no reason disclosed at this time.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
