On Sunday night, 10 children suffered injuries following a rollover crash in Central while 34-year-old Leticia Brothers faces several charges.
The single-vehicle accident was reported at 10:16 p.m. on Sullivan Road and Huntley Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle overturned for undetermined reasons. On arrival, responders found an SUV on its side.
Officials suspect that several children were ejected from the vehicle due to the crash. A total of 11 children were in the vehicle at that time. Officials called for backup and organized a landing zone in a Wax Road parking lot.
Reports added that one adult in the vehicle, identified as Leticia Brothers, faces 11 counts of cruelty to a juvenile, 11 counts of child not restrained, driving with a suspended license, careless operation and no insurance. No further details were provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
