According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Arden Arcade late Tuesday.
The crash happened in the area of Watt Avenue and Edison Avenue, just south of Auburn Boulevard at around 11:20 p.m.
The officials stated that two vehicles were involved in the pedestrian crash and fled the scene.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the California Highway Patrol.
The identity of the deceased pedestrian was not revealed following the collision.
The investigators investigated and found drugs and alcohol did not play a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
