According to the Santa Ana Police, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Santa Ana on Saturday.
The crash happened on Santa Ana Boulevard near the 5 Freeway at around 5:30 a.m.
The officials stated that an SUV and a Nissan Versa were involved in the collision.
According to the Santa Ana Police, the driver of the SUV ran a red light and was hit by a Nissan Versa. The driver of the Nissan that hit the woman fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to the hospital suffering major injuries and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
