The Sacramento police have responded to a crash at Lindley Drive and Edgewater road. A woman was hit-and-run by a car and died at the hospital Friday night.
The crash occurred when the woman was hit by the car while walking in the area at about 7:20 p.m. The injured woman was assisted by the medics and later pronounced dead. An investigation of the crash is under review. The identity of the woman will soon be revealed by the police.
The car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. Officials confirmed no signs of impairment that was the result of the crash.
The area was shut down following the crash.
