Police responded to a pedestrian crash that claimed a life on Friday morning. The crash happened at the intersection of Ted Turner Drive and John Portman Blvd around 6 a.m.
When the officers arrived, they found a woman dead on the scene.
According to the authorities, a driver was waiting at the red light turned onto Ted Turner Dr during the green light. The driver struck the woman who was crossing Ted Turner in the crosswalk at the same time.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car driver stayed at the scene for further investigation.
