According to the California Highway Patrol, a woman was found dead on northbound Interstate 880, south of the Fremont Boulevard exit following a hit and run accident.
The social media posts of the CHP stated that the woman was found on the right shoulder of the off-ramp.
The officials pronounced the unidentified victim dead at the scene.
According to the officials, a possibly large vehicle, a semi-truck might have hit the woman. The driver may have not noticed hitting the woman stated the CHP.
The driver is being searched by the California Highway Patrol.
