1 person seriously injured after getting struck by a train in Oceanside (Oceanside, CA)

On Thursday, one person suffered serious injuries after being hit by a train in Oceanside.

As per the initial information, the pedestrian crash took place at about 10:30 p.m. on the tracks near South Meyers Street, approximately a block west of the beach and a block south of Oceanside Boulevard. On arrival, emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital with serious injuries.

The identity of the pedestrian has not been revealed. According to the responders, the crash site was clear by midnight. At this time, it is unknown what kind of train hit the pedestrian. No other details are made available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
