On early Saturday morning, one person was hospitalized following a traffic collision in the city of Long Beach.
As per the initial information, officials actively responded to the area of 47 Freeway near Pier Street at approximately 12:09 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle crash. On arrival, responders found a vehicle on its side with one man ejected on the right shoulder.
On arrival, emergency crews quickly started rendering medical aid and rushed the victim to a local hospital with serious injuries. According to the authorities, speed might have contributed to the crash. Officers announced a Sig Alert for an unknown amount of time as crews worked at the scene. No further details were provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
