One person was rescued by the responders after a semi-truck crash Sunday morning in north Houston.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle wreck took place just after 4 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Beltway 8, close to Veterans Memorial. The early reports indicated that the driver of the 18-wheeler might have clipped a toll booth. The impact caused the big rig to flip over and lose its load.
According to the authorities, the driver of the big rig is fine. The incident did not reportedly cause any other injuries. Two lanes were closed down early Sunday morning while crews worked to clear fresh fruit and diesel fuel from the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
