According to the California Highway Patrol- South Sacramento, a pedestrian accident was reported on Wednesday on Florin Road in Sacramento.
The officials stated that a Dodge Challenger travelling eastbound on Florin Road past 65th Street. According to the investigating reports, the pedestrian was crossing Florin Road in an area with no crosswalks.
The driver struck the person crossing the street.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials.
According to the investigation report, drugs or alcohol were not the factors involved in the fatal crash.
The identity of the pedestrian was not released by the CHP-South Sacramento officials.
The officials inspected the vehicle and stated that the driver will not be prosecuted.
