The California Highway Patrol is investigating a pedestrian crash on Interstate Highway 680 in Milpitas early Thursday.
The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. on the northbound freeway near the Jacklin road off-ramp.
According to the CHP, it is unclear how the pedestrian came to be on the highway.
An Audi sedan struck the pedestrian in the number 3 lane.
The lanes were shut down for further investigating following the crash but have since reopened.
No other information regarding the crash was immediately available.
An investigation into the motor vehicle crash is under review.
