1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Crash In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, one person died in a pedestrian crash in Bakersfield. 

The crash happened on State Route 99 near the Rosedale Highway at around 11 p.m. 

The pedestrian was hit by a car. Later, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. 

According to the officials, the pedestrian wandered onto 2 exit lanes on the 99, and the driver of the car was unable to take action at that time.

The officials investigated and found drugs and alcohol did not play a factor in the crash. 

No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
