1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Seattle (Seattle, WA)

In a tragic incident on Saturday, a Metro bus collided with a building at 5 Avenue and Battery Street in Seattle. The pedestrian accident fatally injured a woman who was walking on the sidewalk. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person, trapped in their car, was rescued by firefighters and taken to Harborview in critical condition. Eleven people on the bus sustained minor injuries. The collision also left the bus driver in critical condition.

Thankfully, there was no one inside the part of the building that was hit, and structural damage was minimal. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time. 

Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
