According to the City of Austin’s Transportation Department, a pedestrian accident was reported on Friday morning.
The officials reported that the crash happened at around 7 a.m. when a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the Interstate 35 southbound frontage road at Braker Lane.
The officials reported that the victim was declared dead at the scene.
The officials are yet to reveal the identity of the deceased victim.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
The officials are yet to determine whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
This incident marks the 69th death due to road accidents in Austin.
