According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Wichita Falls on Thursday. The crash happened at the intersection of Loop 11 and Seymour Highway at around 9:45 a.m.
According to the investigators, an F-250 pickup and a Mercedes were involved in the collision. The pickup driver was traveling at a high speed, ran the red light, and struck the Mercedes.
The officials stated that the Mercedes driver suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Wichita Falls Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
