According to the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle crash occurred near San Martin in San Jose and killed a man on Thursday.
Approximately at 1:12 a.m., a 2022 Ford F150 travelling eastbound on Highland Avenue, west of Monterey headed to the intersection. Similarly, a 2023 Kia Forte was also heading towards the same intersection.
Therefore, the Ford F150 failed to halt at the stop sign and hit the front of Kia Forte. The 48-year-old driver of the Kia was killed as a result. The driver of the Ford was transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
