According to the San Antonio police, a multi-vehicle crash occurred in San Antonio early Friday morning.
The crash happened on North Weidner Road near Crosswinds Way and Interstate 35 on the city’s Northeast Side at around 2:20 a.m.
According to the police, the sedan was traveling westbound, when an 18-wheeler truck traveling northbound on Weidner approached the intersection.
The truck was going through the intersection with a green light, and the sedan crashed into a big rig.
The driver of the sedan suffered major injuries and was rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center.
The identity of the driver was not revealed and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
