1 Person Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Odessa (Odessa, TX)

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Odessa on Tuesday. The crash happened in the left turn lane at 42nd and Preston Smith at around 8 p.m. 

According to the investigators, a gray 2023 Kawasaki Ninja, a white 2020 Nissan Altima, and a 2017 Honda CB1000 were involved in the collision. The official stated that the Nissan driver did not yield the right of way and struck the motorcyclists. 

The Kawasaki driver was identified as Severo Muniz who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
