The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Fairfield.
According to the officials, a person was walking on the eastbound side of the freeway when they were hit by a car. The victim was struck by the car following the previous one.
This incident occurred on the westbound side of the freeway near Travis Boulevard before 2 a.m.
Authorities have not disclosed further information about the victim.
The victim has suffered fatal injuries.
The officials stated that both the drivers are cooperating with the police in relation to the accident.
The incident is being investigated.
