According to the City of Moriarty Fire Department, one person was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Moriarty on Thursday. The accident occurred on Interstate 40. The time of the accident is not clear.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. The vehicle was travelling when it crashed into a building. Two people travelling in the vehicle incurred serious injuries. One of them was fatally injured and was pronounced dead.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
