1 Person Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Yreka (Yreka, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident in Yreka on Wednesday. The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 97, south of the Goosenest Ranger Station. The time of the accident has not been disclosed. 

According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A log truck was headed south on the highway when the driver drifted off the lane and into a field with soft soil. This caused the vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on its left side. 

The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the driver has not been disclosed at this time, pending notification of the next of kin. There were no other people involved in the crash. 

The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. There are no other details available at this time.
