1 Person Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident Along Pacific Coast Highway (Ventura County, CA)

The California Highway Patrol reported a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday. 

The accident occurred on the northbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway, just north of Mugu Rock. It happened at about 10:20 p.m. 

According to the officials, two pedestrians had been hit by an SUV. The SUV fled the scene before the police could respond. 

One of the pedestrians, identified only as a female, was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other pedestrian, identified as a 30-year-old man, incurred critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital. 

The driver of the SUV, identified as 46-year-old Keith Satyananda, was spotted on Rice Avenue and Wooley Road. He was arrested by the CHP officers. 

He was taken to jail with the charges of driving under the influence and a hit-and-run among others. 

There are no other details pertaining to the fatal accident available at this time.
