1 Person Killed In A Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Bakersfield. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Cottonwood Road and East Pacheco Road. A pedestrian was walking along the east shoulder when he was struck by a vehicle. As a result of this, the pedestrian was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.

The identity of the pedestrian remains unknown. The officials have not disclosed any details regarding the vehicle involved in the crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
