According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Monday afternoon in Coryell County.
Authorities confirmed that 1 person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Officials stated that the collision occurred on eastbound SH 9.
A Chevrolet Pickup and a 2008 Nissan Maxima were followed by a 1999 Dodge 1500 pickup.
The driver of the Chevrolet swerved to avoid debris in the roadway and in this process collided with the Nissan.
It then collided with the Dodge and caused it to spin and roll several times.
The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead when taken to Carl R Army Medical Center.
The crash remains under investigation.
