According to the Houston Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday afternoon. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 1800 block of Westheimer Parkway, near Freedom Park.

A cyclist was struck by an SUV. The woman driving the cycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other details pertaining to the collision including the identity of the deceased person remain unknown.

The cause of the wreck is yet to be determined. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the HPD.
