According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday afternoon in Solano County.
Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near California Pacific and Elmira Roads. An Amtrak train was traveling when a vehicle obstructing the track came into contact. Therefore the train and the vehicle collided with one another.
One person who was inside the vehicle was killed due to the wreck. No further insights on the identity of the deceased person or the description of the vehicle involved have been made available yet.
Some trains were delayed due to the accident.
