The Redwood City Police Department reported a bicycle accident on Friday. The accident occurred near the intersection of Veterans Boulevard and Maple Street at around 9:25 p.m.
According to the officials, a bicycle was hit by a vehicle that then fled the scene before the police could arrive.
The bicyclist incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed by the authorities.
