The Tehachapi Police Department reported a bicycle accident on Monday.
The accident occurred on Tucker Road near Conway Avenue around 4 p.m.
The collision involved a bicycle and a pick up truck. The pick up truck was exiting a parking lot when it collided with the bicyclist.
Authorities believed that the bicyclist suffered trauma during the crash. He was taken to Tehachapi Hospital. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The authorities have investigated the area to try and determine the cause of the crash. They say that the pick up driver had not seen the bicyclist ahead of him.
No additional information was provided by the authorities. The fatal accident is under investigation.
The identity of the deceased bicyclist has not been disclosed.
