According to the California Highway Patrol, a bicycle accident occurred in Bakersfield. The crash happened in the southbound lanes of Allen Road at around 2 p.m.
According to the firefighters, a white Acura sedan and an unknown bicycle were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Acura struck an unknown bicyclist and fled the scene.
According to the reports, the bicyclist suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bakersfield Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
