1 person killed, another in critical condition after a traffic crash near downtown Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

On early Friday morning, one person died while another suffered critical injuries following a motor vehicle accident near downtown Los Angeles.

As per the initial information, officers quickly responded to the area of northbound Harbor (110) Freeway and Stadium Way near Dodger Stadium at about 2:01 a.m. after getting reports of a traffic collision. The early reports showed that one vehicle rolled on its side and debris were scattered on the freeway due to the accident.

One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. One victim was rushed to a hospital in serious condition. Officials shut down all lanes of the freeway for more than three hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
