1 person killed, another in critical condition after a pedestrian crash in Santa Ana (Santa Ana, CA)

On Sunday night, one person was killed while another suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Santa Ana.

As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place at about 8:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of First Street. The early reports showed that a westbound vehicle hit two pedestrians for undetermined reasons. The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene.

One of the pedestrians suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Emergency crews rushed the second victim to a hospital in critical condition. Officials believe that drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
