According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Monday afternoon in Corsicana. Officials confirmed that one person died and two persons were injured due to the multi-vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the 3500 block of Business Interstate 45.
The driver of a Chevrolet Pickup was traveling southbound and stopped to make a left turn into a private drive. At the same time, another vehicle failed to control its speed and struck the Chevrolet. This resulted in the Chevrolet getting hit by a Ford F-450 pickup that was towing a trailer and a Chevrolet Malibu. Further a Dodge Grand Caravan was also struck by debris from the crash.
The drivers of the Chevrolet and the other vehicle were identified as 72-year-old Van Michael Wallace and 18-year-old Marvin David Hernandez. Wallace was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
