On Saturday morning, one person died after being struck by a vehicle in Moreno Valley.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 3:00 a.m. on Sunnymead Boulevard, east of Heacock Street. The preliminary investigation indicated that a westbound vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing the road. The vehicle reportedly left the scene after the collision.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
