1 person killed after a traffic collision in southeast Austin (Austin, TX)

One person died following an overnight crash in southeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place at about 1:23 a.m. in the 5700 block of East Ben White Blvd. eastbound. That is near Comsouth Drive. According to the officials, one person was killed as a result of the accident. One person was transported to the hospital.

The events that have led up to the crash remain unknown at this time. The identities of the victims have not been revealed. The road in the area has since reopened, officials said. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
