One person was killed following a traffic collision early Thursday morning in Sacramento.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place in the intersection of 6th Parkway and Florin Road, just east of Highway 99. The early reports showed that a vehicle crashed into a big rig, and the sole occupant in the vehicle was declared dead.
It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. The intersection was closed down to give way to the investigation. The circumstances surrounding the crash also remain unclear. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
