On Thursday, one person died following a two-vehicle accident in Sparks.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 12:30 p.m. on Rock Boulevard near Glendale Avenue. The early reports showed that a motorcycle was traveling north when it slammed into a moving truck that was slowing down in front of it.
The motorcycle rider succumbed to their injuries at the scene. According to the officials, speed might have contributed to the collision. Rock Blvd. was shut down just north of Glendale Avenue as crews worked at the scene, but the roads have since reopened. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
