1 person killed after a motorcycle crash in Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

On early Sunday morning, a two-vehicle accident claimed the life of one person in Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at W. Oakey Boulevard and Cahlan Drive, near Rancho at about 12:34 a.m. The preliminary investigation showed that a Yamaha motorcycle was heading west on W. Oakey Boulevard west of Cahlan Drive when it drifted to the right. Just then, the motorcycle crashed into an unoccupied Ford Expedition that was parked against the north curb of Oakey.

Due to the impact, the motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown onto the roadway. He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will reveal the identity, cause and manner of death after notifying the next of kin. No other information was provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
