1 person killed after a hit-and-run crash in Palm Springs (Palm Springs, CA)

On Friday, one person died following an auto-pedestrian collision in Palm Springs.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported at about 6:40 a.m. on East Palm Canyon Drive and South Broadmoor Drive. Officers received reports of a person lying on the road. On arrival, responders declared the male pedestrian dead.

Reports later showed that the man was killed in a hit-and-run accident. East Palm Canyon Drive from South Broadmoor to Golf Club Drive was shut down as crews worked at the scene. Authorities have not provided any description of the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under active review.
