1 person killed after a bicycle accident in San Francisco (San Francisco, CA)

One person was killed after a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle accident was reported just before 4 a.m. in the area of Oak Street and Octavia Boulevard. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the male bicyclist, who was declared dead.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. Authorities believe that impairment was not involved in the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
