1 person killed, 4 injured after a head-on collision in southeast Austin (Austin, TX)

On early Saturday morning, one person died while four others suffered injuries following a head-on crash in southeast Austin.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle collision took place on Dee Gabriel Collins Road a little before 1 a.m. The early reports showed that two vehicles crashed head-on into each other. One person suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.

One adult was flown by Star Flight to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition. Emergency crews took one adult and one child to Dell Children’s Medical Center, and another adult to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, all with potentially serious injuries. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
